Speak Yourself #15 : Rain and Rainbow

It was I who saw him stumble,
stumble in the dark and
with each tumble, a little
a little , he came out his haze
until finally he reached
the mouth of the cave, fully awake!

It was I who held his hands
and together we went out
Out, into the mid-summer dream
Out, onto the field of poppies,
amidst which climbed up
the 7 fluorescent strings, distinct
a Rainbow, whose shine
not even the daylight could diminish!

It was I who skipped up,
Up this stairway to heaven
Up, to meet the Sun above
Yet, there he stood below
with his back to us, watching
the Rain fall, transfixed!

It was only I, who recognized
those sun-kissed pearls retain
his long-lost memories, slide
down his face and arms..
But it was him, only him
who could listen the raindrops sing
a message unrecognized
yet received like.. what a feeling!

Concluding thoughts:
Feelings are  mysteries mostly unrecognized but felt strongly. A part of oneself, one can't name or discern but still very much one's truth, a means of knowing oneself better.
