Privileged

It's strange really 

when the crowd calls

so and so privileged

well if you ask me none is, period

what counts as a privilege really?

I did like to know

more easy money? 

more easy authority?

more easy opportunity?

and yet I see those

with easy everything

the most hollow

the most fragile

with facades

easy to see, easy to admire 

yet easiest to break

into prickly pieces so not easy to mend

but then the crowd erects 

hall of fame out of mirrors

on it they won't throw stones now, will they?

as long as the once fine aesthetic is but cracked ugly

by some resented individual

the one made to believe 

that he had been wronged somehow

by the very same crowd..

well, the level of hypocrisy is astounding!

Privilege is built, to each their own

with blood, sweat and tears

none of that comes easy

not to you, not to me

not to anyone on this planet

got no interest building facades

for display

rather build myself a privilege 

that even if stoned

might get buried 

a mine, studded diamonds

anything less than rare

is just unacceptable!
