Speak Yourself #20: Solstice and Equinox

Beyond.. far beyond the clouds
and the sky, and the color
in space and the vaccum
I shine as bright as I could muster
unmoving, watching
my twin on her chariot,
eclipsed
but after I catch sight
of the Pleiades, in her train,
shine bright
before the winter solstice!

Hear the howling wolves, those
She hunts wild, blood red
the shadows and light upon her
while silhouettes, a many
marvel
at the super blood wolf moon,
but are past the times
when sailing stars were heralds
of times to come..
of spring equinox!

I play my lyre and pipes
throughout Primavera,
sunlit skies, blooming flora
it's nearly time, again,
of the midsummer daydreams..
of summer solstice!

Concluding thoughts :
There were times when many used to watch the skies, see the stars sail across, as we tracked the time not so much by the day but by the night!
In coming times, we are focusing on the Moon , the ruling royalty in the skies and the Sun is the proud twin!

1. Pleiades : (constellation. Indian name krittika). name derivation from Latin word 'plein' meaning 'to sail'. November is the month when it shines brighter in the sky.
2. Winter Solstice occured on 21st December 2018 (Northern Hemisphere)
3. 'Super Blood wolf moon' refers to total lunar eclipse +the first full moon of the year  on 20th January 2019
4. Primavera (Italian for early spring)
5. Spring Equinox occurs on 20th/21st March
6. Summer Solstice will be occurring on 21st June 2019
