Speak Yourself #19 : Silhouettes and Shadows

By the moonlight
I watch Artemis
pull her chariot
back onto the night
Can't help but recall
those twins, fondly
though polar opposites,
distinct yet intertwined, like
pair of snakes on my caduceus!
One, a charming showman
while other, a sneaky huntress!
I flew after her
wings of my sandals
flapping in the breeze
and there I see him, silhouetted
by the moonlight,
filtering through
sheer fabric
of his overdrawn coat
casting shadows
long and deep
on pooled memories shallow
causing tension,
sharp and rippled
in the stillness hollow
wherein he trades in
shadows, old memories
for hopes and dreams anew
backdrop to his silhouette!

Concluding thoughts:

Shadows seemingly irrelevant or irregular are valuable and precious as they are distinctly different cast by distinct lights, while the silhouettes remain more or less the same!
