Speak Yourself #10 : The Pied Pipers

Years after years
pass by
and I see
Little Pinocchio again
with limbs, none woody
skin over bones instead
minus mischievous grins,
but hearty laughs instead
he's a boy now, indeed
with strings, none attached
or so I thought, before
I see a man ahead
sauntering up front
in pied clothing
piping a playful tune
after him
goes our Little Boy
for whom
being a boy ain't enough
he wants to be a man now!

And if you ever wonder
who pulls this strings,
wishful, invisible
well, it's people, us
like me and you
The Pied Pipers,
those believe, sincerely
that even a marionette
has fair chance
being a man
because lives , wooden or not
are meant to grow!

Concluding thoughts:
Impressions at young age goes a long way in shaping the character of an individual but it's inspiration, internal or external,  providing meaningful growth to lives, preventing our minds from being a puppet forever and subtly converting  wishes to wants!
