Dyed Flora #7 : Blue Jacaranda

Prior to the icy frost,
and the settling cold
during the first stirrings
of wintertide
gusty winds rustling
indigo blossoms of mine
it's fragrance permeates
the early autumn air..

She stood beneath
palms outstretched
trying to grasp
a little of the falling purple rain..
Inside her leather-bound
yellow pages
dyed in multiple hues,
an assorted dialect
of letters and life
breathed
unique and alive..

Later when the frost arrives
her dream's orange no more
her scarlet heart's stained blue
and her dream too
turning a shade purple
At the time, I knew
she knew it too..

If CHANGE has colour
believe us
it's pristine blue
as true
as of the sea and the sky!
