I vs We

They were speaking about 'I'
and not 'HE' or 'SHE'
and won't you agree, 'I'
is much more than just either or!
They scoff at 'I'
for being egoistic, fragile
So they club 'I's to make 'WE's
and call it 'UNITY', if only
they could admit there isn't any
without the 'I' among the many..
'I' is potential, creative, infinite
'WE' is society, culture, boundary
'I' is fears, flux, and love
'WE' is safety, belonging, and love, some more..
WE is day, bright and light
WE is night, dark and deep
WE is chaos, day and night
I is imaginary, unit of WE
I is iodine, halogen for WE
I is current, live, running through WE
More than anything
I is human, and I wonder
when did WE
stopped to be one!
