Dyed Flora #3 : Yellow Flame

Summer sun
on a noon bright
seems to ignite
this crown of mine,
match struck, lit
a flaming yellow..

Squirrels scurry
up, jumping
rusty copper-pods
drawn to them
like moth
to a flame,
canary-yellow..

But below
under the shade
on the wayside
sits a lone shadow
the summer air
blowing in her hair
as she puts
her pen to paper
filling up pages, yet yellow..
