Shooting Star

In the inky black night 

like a moving, distant light

you pass like a shooting star..

In the pitch known dark

unexpected, you stand out

against the unmoving starry sky..

Like a flickering ember, you fly

across the still,

unlit corners of my heart

alighting open, a hidden path

long forgotten before, lost

along which now

many wishes bloom

bright neon under the moon

leading to an ongoing concert 

of awakened dreams
